Now Available – Alternative Inks for Linx 8900 Printers

The latest generation of CIJ printers from Linx uses sealed ink tanks equipped with RFID chips. These chips provide the printer with important information such as ink type, production data, and expiration dates.

At the same time, this technology is also used to make the use of alternative inks more difficult or even impossible.

Avoid Dependence on OEM Supplies

Users of this printer series are initially tied to the original consumables without a direct alternative. In critical situations, this can put production at risk – especially in times of unstable supply chains.

In addition, users become highly dependent on the manufacturer’s pricing.

First Alternatives Successfully Tested

In close cooperation with our global partners, we are actively developing alternatives for the Linx 8900 series.

Currently, ink 1240 and make-up 1505 are successfully undergoing chip testing. The operational reliability of our inks has been extensively tested and is 100% compatible – guaranteed.

Important Note on Firmware

Our chips are currently working reliably on printers with firmware version 5.2 or lower.

We therefore recommend carefully evaluating firmware updates. In many cases, updates are designed to block alternative solutions. Before performing an update, it is advisable to obtain written confirmation of its actual benefit for your application.
