Thinner - Make Up - Additive - what are the differences?

All manufacturers of CIJ printers have in addition to the ink, another clear liquid that the printer has to be filled with. This liquid has different names: make-up, additive or solvent. It is simply thinner. With the help of the thinner, the printer can reduce the viscosity of the ink when needed, as alcoholic components evaporate during operation. This thinner essentially corresponds to the composition of the ink and must therefore always be selected to match the used ink.

Is there a suitable ink for any application?

There are almost no limits to industrial DOD and also CIJ printing. We have ink for a wide variety of applications in terms of colour, the printed substrate and the resistance to thermal or chemical post-treatment of the printed materials. What seems insignificant to the layman is lived expertise for us, with which we can implement customer wishes. In the development phase, all printing parameters are simulated and extensively tested so that stable production can be guaranteed after the product has been released.

100% miscible - what does that mean? 

Our range of bulk inks for use in CIJ and industrial DOD printers is specifically tailored to the corresponding OEM product. By this we mean that on the one hand the print quality and properties of the ink are equivalent in terms of the area of application. On the other hand, our ink can be mixed with the corresponding OEM product. Clumping, flocculation or comparable chemical reactions are barred. Therefore, any ink residues in the system do not have to be removed before using our products.

My device is still under warranty - will I void the warranty if I use PI inks?

The guarantee on your industrial printer is a voluntary service provided by the manufacturer. It rightly excludes damage to the device caused by improper use. This would also include damage that would have been caused by using our high-quality alternatives.* In all other cases (e.g. the touch display no longer responds), the guarantee cannot be rejected just because you are not using OEM inks.

* If our ink has caused damage to your printer, then we are at your side! On the one hand, we can fall back on trained technicians who are available throughout Germany. On the other hand, our product liability insurance covers the financial loss.
