Cost-Effective Alternatives for Bulk Ink Systems – New Developments at PI
Cost-Effective Alternatives for Bulk Ink Systems – Developments After Fachpack
Following our appearance at Fachpack in Nuremberg, we received a wide range of exciting inquiries. These have led to new projects in the field of industrial marking, which we will continue to develop in the coming months.
Our goal is to provide cost-effective and environmentally friendly alternatives to existing bulk ink systems for as many users as possible.
Technological Challenge: Microchip Protection
In addition to developing high-quality inks, one of the key challenges lies in the technical implementation of microchips integrated into the cartridges.
These chips communicate with the printer, confirm compatibility, and are often designed to prevent the use of alternative solutions.
Development for HP CB916A Already Started
Our engineers have already begun working on a solution for the HP CB916A tank, which is used in systems such as the HP 4250 black and 4260 black.
One specific application comes from a customer using these tanks in a printing system from DJM B.V. The chip used shows similarities to known technologies, which makes us confident that we will be able to offer an alternative solution soon.
